New Restrictions

Water Restrictions

Effective September 19, 2008

In response to improved regional water resource conditions, the Governing Board of the South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) today modified emergency water restrictions to provide agricultural, commercial and recreational facilities more flexibility for water use. Two-day-a-week residential landscape restrictions remain in place.

  • Odd street addresses may irrigate lawns and landscapes on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

  • Even street addresses may irrigate lawns and landscapes on Thursdays and Sundays from 12 a.m. to 10 a.m. and/or 4 p.m. to 11:59 p.m.

Certified Public Fleet Professional (CPFP)

The role of the public fleet operation has evolved over the years from providing high-quality, low-cost repair service to asset management and related business functions. The purpose of the Public Fleet Professional Certification is to promote excellence in fleet management by advancing the knowledge and practice of public fleet professionals to benefit communities through quality fleet services. Certification will be awarded upon meeting the eligibility requirements and successful passing of the CPFP Examination. Click the link above for more information!

Certified Public Infrastructure Inspector (CPII)

The purpose of the Public Infrastructure Inspector Certification is to promote quality infrastructure throughout the community by advancing the knowledge and practice of construction inspection to benefit the community and public agencies. Being connected with and certified by APWA ensures competent, experienced, and well-trained construction inspectors. The payoff is to the public works industry and ultimately to our communities by providing recognized hiring and promotion standards that will lead to an improved workforce and improved delivery of services.
